Have you not had your own company's inspector, or a structural engineer of your choice take a look and see what the structural damage might be? Or mold? You can't just sit waiting for the other party's company to dither around while your home could be in dire straits! Get a lawyer involved if necessary, but you must find out what the state of things is, even if the rooms appear dry inside.

Yes, well (no pun intended) that is the trick of it. Finding the actual well. There are a couple clues in the house... the pipe from the well runs inside the house along the east wall. In my daughters bedroom (the closer of the two bedrooms to the mechanical room) the east wall has a 4" build-out from being flush. This doesn't exist in the other bedroom further away from the mechanical room, and they both share the same east wall. So the pipe at least runs to that point. where it goes from there, is the mystery. We're thinking that the well head may be in the window well outside daughters room, or in the flower gardens on either side of the window. With 3 feet of snow there, it's not likely we're going to get any information before spring. So, I'm left with bleeding the pump daily.

Jhasey How do you know its always running??? just curious we cant hear ours.... which I dislike, sort of, cause the old 110- 230 volt one, in the small pump house .I knew it was working. only aggravating ,cause the old owners(deceased) only had a small 6 gallon pressure tank... Jean

Trying to find the "home location for the two nuts on the water pump pressure switch. Is there such a thing as the home location? I can get the pump to come on, but cant get it to shut off. The closest I get is that it trips off, but cycles back on rapidly. I can see the brass plate under the switch swinging and that's what is causing the pump to come back on. THe smaller #2 nut has a direct affect on this, but I've tightened it and loosened it fully, and don't seem to get it to just go off.
