Use composted manure as mulch?

Thanks to a horse-loving neighbor, I now have a yard or so of composted horse manure. It's a mix of manure and sawdust bedding; I don't know how aged it is, but it is crumbly and odorless.

Would this make a good mulch for my vegetable gardens? I'm afraid that, if not fully mature, it may burn my plants. Will it keep strawberries from rotting, or should I use straw instead of (or on top of) it in the berry patch?
