Greetings, all.
I have a troybilt 2 speed horse tiller that started not staying in gear on the speed shift. Will go into low gear, run there for a few seconds or so, and then pop out of gear.
Anybody know how I can repair this? Manual says eccentric drive pin may be damaged or worn, but says contact customer service for repair instructions. From what I see when I drain oil in transmission, I would say the wheel speed shift eccentric lever may be very worn, or partially broken off. Don't have a picture of a good one to tell for sure.
Bought this at a farm auction a few years ago, and it makes everything else look like a toy. I'm a fan of these tillers, but I'm afraid this is a complete transmission dissassembly to get to this part.
This is the 6 HP version, sn 1001-639999
Thanks for any help
