House cleaning solutions for pressure washers
Comments (5)Jomax(found at Home Depot near the paint section) or Simple Green and clorex outdoor bleach. Mix about 1 pt of the jomax or simple green and 1 pt bleach to 3 quarts water. Should clean very well. I'm not sure what type of pw you have, but be careful with bleach. Bleach will destroy you pw pump. If you have a downstream chemical injection system(most homeowner models do), make sure you clean your hose wand, and nozzles as bleach can ruin those items as well. I would spray the solution using a garden hose sprayer attachment, then rise with the pw. Another option is to buy an x-jet for your pressure washer. I just found out about these kits. Its basically a special nozzle with a hose attached to it. You put the hose into you cleaning solution and install the nozzle onto you wand. That way you don't ruin your pw. I just bought a xjet for around 130 from Pressure Tek. I have to wait until it warms up around here, but this system has received good reviews on other sites. http://www.pressuretek.com/m5xjet.html...See MoreDid I just kill my new electric power washer by getting it wet?
Comments (8)I am pretty sure you have a ground fault switch on the plug. There is no way to avoid getting that thing dry in the mid of using. I wet it so many times. I sure hope mine would take a dive like this so I can have the excuse to buy a new one!!! The electric ones are just pissy!!! No power at all. After I spent hours cleaning bricks and concrete, I finally told my wife I refuse to use that anymore!!! Want me to clean, she has to buy me a real washer!!! If it really crap out, let that be the message from the universe that you need a better one, it's better for your health!!!! It sounds like I am joking, but I am really not. My wife don't want to spend money on a new one and I am stuck with this!!!! It actually hurt my neck because I have to spent hours stairing at the floor waiting for it to be clean!!!! I hate that electric washer....See Morehow to clean stain glass window, its up high.
Comments (2)Have you ever tried that Windex window cleaner for outdoor windows? It's called Windex Outdoor All-in-One. It's made for outdoor windows, but I'm pretty sure you can adjust the water level so you don't get so much water inside the studio and it has an extension pole with a windex-soaked pad on it. It really leaves a spot-free finish and as long as your stained glass window is not TOO fragile, it should be okay to use. I use it on my outdoor windows, even though I have a ranch style home and don't need the reach. Works wonders! Hope this helps. :)...See MoreNeed cleaning tips for my Asko washer
Comments (19)Sorry sshrivastava, I have been checking back for responses on another post in this forum, but not this one. Thanks for your tips. I have just received my box of Bi-O-Kleen over the weekend and have done maybe 4 loads of laundry so far. My problem now is that the detergent doesn't completely rinse out of the dispenser and the Asko manual doesn't recommend that you use any detergent that doesn't completely rinse out. So I posted a question and someone responded about residual moisture in the drawer and drying it out before putting in the powder. I still have some clumpy powder, but it seems to be getting less. I have increased the temperature for my washes and now wash my daughter's clothes on the normal cycle at 120 degrees and mine and my husbands clothes at 140. The towels and sheets usually get a 160 or 175 degree washing. There aren't a lot of stains on the adult clothes (colors anyway) to notice a huge difference, so I'm really waiting to see how the whites come out after a couple of washes with the Bi-O-Kleen premium! Thanks for all of your tips!...See Moretractorbeam
