aged horse manure worth a 30 mile drive?

Hi all

I've discovered a few horse farms around me offering free "aged horse manure". I've called a few and left messages. I want to use the stuff in my raised vegetable beds.

I'm still a bit unsure as all of them will be a drive to pick it up -is it worth the drive? Given that I am not going to produce my own compost quickly, is this a good source?

I currently have used in the beds- our own leaves and pine straw that were piled up in the fall (not enough for all the beds and not completely broken down), dried grass clippings, fresh grass clippings, a topsoil mix given to me free but can't get any more, well composted yard waste free from the county, newspaper on bottom.

The mix doesn't seem like a good growing medium to me. Would an addition of 3-4 inches of "aged horse manure" be worth a 30 mile drive to pick it up?

Thanks for all the help
