Oh no! I ordered last week both Ruga and Morning Stars. I hope you didn't get the last plants! I might be hitting you up for cuttings in a few years.

Very nice selection and I am glad to see that someone else also likes Ayreshire ramblers. Might you know of a source for Duc de Constantine? The one I ordered a few years back from Eurodesert turned into Wedding Day and by then Eurodesert had closed.

Hmmm, 40 days left....Poor Vintage, they probably sold more since announcing their closing than it the past 3 years combined. I've been busy saving their webpages for each rose.

Nastara, the Ruga and Morning Stars I received were really good size and looked to be at least a couple of years old; Ruga was actually blooming like mad right out of the box yesterday. So maybe they weren't that popular and they still have quite a few? If not, I will be sure to send you cuttings :) I think a lot of us are going to be hitting eachother up for cuttings of some we weren't able to get, if no other nurseries pick them up. You mentioned the Ayreshires, although I don't know of a source for Duc de Constantine, I'll keep my eyes open for it. Looks really nice! I have a rambler addiction...just happy I have to room for them, otherwise I don't know what I would do without them!

Bluegirl...Jack Frost was on my shortlist....you'll have to let us know how it does. I may hit you up for cuttings of it later :) I bet you're right about their recent sales...I can't believe how much inventory they've sold out of recently!

I have one last order coming at the end of June...just in case I have any last minute additions.

TNY78, I just got confirmation of my last, or next to last?, order which included Ruga and Morning Stars, as well as Burg Baden. We both got lucky!! I already grow Autumn Beauty and Dream Girl, also from Jacobus, and I am so far very impressed with both.

I adore 'Poulsens Yellow' and there are very few modern roses I'd grow. The growth habit, and delicate blooms remind me of a China, and if I lived in a cold climate , where I couldn't grow Old Garden Teas or Chinas, it would be very high on my wish list.

My last order from vintagegarden.com included a Florence Bowers Pink Tea' and I bought the last band of Forest Ranch purple Pom-Pom' (a purple Hybrid Perpetual that Sherrie B. found in Chico, ca)that they had at their table at the Old Rose Celebration. I hope to root a plant from it to give to the raffle there next year.

I'm glad we were both able to get those two Nasatara! I don't grow any roses from Jacobus...I'll have to check him out. If I find a breeder whose roses do well for me, I tend to stick with them (same for ones who don't do well). Right now I'm in lover with Gene Boerner...I can't get enough if his creations!

Thanks for the encouragement on Poulsen's Yellow. I'm always searching for a good yellow rose, so hopefully it will like it here :) I rec'd Forest Ranch Pompom my last Vintage order and it just finished blooming...really pretty plant and very healthy so far as we're going into blackspot season.
