Craftsman vs Troy Bilt tiller

Hi all, I bought a craftsman and may be changing to a troy bilt.. I'd like your feedback.
recap: Bought the craftsman 7hp red tiller in the spring. Within 3 hours runtime, it was popping out of gear. Sears said to bring it back.
#2, ran it a while, the belt wore out, sears said bring it back, they swapped it out for a new one.
#3, ran it much less, the gear box always sounded loud, the gear box dissintegrated, kablooooie one day. Take it to sears service.
12 days in service and they call to say... we're returning it to the store, they'll issue you an exchange....
which I think is another new tiller. #4? Well, at this point, I'd just as soon go for a refund. I'm not sure they'll do that. I hope an exchange isn't for another half worn out one.
So, if they do go for the refund, I'm heading in the direction of a troy bilt from lowes. A few questions....
Does Lowes ever carry the pony? I know a guy who thinks that's a sweet machine.
Lowes does have super bronco crt and also a "Pro-Line" model. Both look good. I'm leaning toward the pro-line and it's forward rotating tines.
I'd love to hear all your feedback on this.
Thanks in advance.
