I can't remember the name of this plant

What is it? It's totally slipped my mind and this is driving me crazy. I tried looking at Bluestone and a few other places to find the answer. I kept thinking it was a Cornflower but that's not it!

The flowers are blue, REAL blue, not purple.

I know someone knows the answer out there. I'm just not looking in the right place and unfortunately, I don't have the tag that went with it!

Centaurea montana aka perennial cornflower, mountain cornflower and mountain bluet

I don't know... that looks an awful lot like aster foliage to me...

I haven't seen any asters that are true blue, though. I hear that October Skies are pretty close.

Is the foliage hairy like a centaurea? Does it bloom in the spring/summer or fall?

From the description of the odd blooms, I'll guess some kind of Peperomia. Try a search for that, then w/in that, an Image search. That should bring up pictures you may then recognize.

I had not thought to check Memo's blog. The fate of little calves whose Moomas for some reason do not feed them first off is one reason we got out of the cattle biz. Sol, I get soooo angry when plants are described as 'blue' and are really purple. This happens more often than not. There are very few true blue flowers. I once bought a rose called Blue Girl, and the pic did look blue..sure enough, it was purple.. HD sells the 'blue' Rose of Sharon, at least that's where I got mine. Toni

Morz8, that's IT! It was on the tip of my tongue, I just couldn't put it together. That would explain why I kept thinking Mountain or Cornflower. Why I didn't search for those two words together is beyond me! LOL

And yours looks great, love the flower color of this plant. But here, it self sows with a vengeance, gets powdery mildew, and parts itself down the middle about mid season like a very bad hair day then falls to each side....not attractive :)
