can't remember name of a plant I want

Hello! I used to have this unique houseplant that had these quaint little candle like white blooms that would spike up on it. The "candles" were only about 3 inches tall and very thin. I remember it used to like a lot of light.

I have searched online and in my garden books to find the name of this houseplant that I lost when we moved. We moved 5 years ago so I don't really remember what the leaves looked like. Anybody have a clue of what I could be talking about?

From the description of the odd blooms, I'll guess some kind of Peperomia.

Try a search for that, then w/in that, an Image search. That should bring up pictures you may then recognize.

I'll bet that you just might be right, pirate girl! Peperomia will bloom like crazy if given enough light.

I think it's flax lily too. I had heard they wanted shade and that's where I always grew them, but I am trying some in morning sun and they seem to be doing fine. I love variegated leaves for a pop of color. :o)
