Tree to fill a bare spot in the yard

I've got a spot in the back corner of my yard that I think looks too bare. I'm looking for a tree to fill it. I would like something that looks nice and grows fairly quickly without putting down a lot of mess. I have a large live oak in the front yard and a large pecan tree on the opposite side about midway down the yard. This new tree will be on the same side of the yard as the live oak but in the back corner. The lot is about an acre out in the middle of nowhere.

This new tree will have to be a bit resilient because the corner it is going in has a field on its sides. I'm not sure on the alkalinity of the soil. It is fairly dark and a bit sandy.

I've done a little research and I'm leaning a little towards a tulip poplar.

I'll be glad to listen to any suggestions and recommendations. Thanks for all your help.
