Throw it in to your car or truck tank it will work fine in those !

Maybe temporarily plugged fuel line, although you did say you checked the new filter? Air filter?

I've got the same blower. It's about 4 years old. Since it was new the rpm fluctuautes slightly after I fill the fuel tank. It does this for about 15-20 minutes of run time after the fill up, then levels out. It will run nicely for the rest of the tank. Then I fill it up, surges for a while, then smooth. Always fresh gas/oil. It doesn't bother me too much. I just figured I was introducing air in to the fuel system on fill ups which caused the surging.

masiman, that is how I dispose of small amounts, a gallon or less, of old fuel. The car will never notice less than two oz of mix oil in a full tank. Five gallons of last years boat gas is another issue I have to deal with though.

Thanks for your thoughts. The fuel and air filters are both new. When I looked at the suspected fuel I dumped out of the tank, I did not see any water or particles. I did do one thing after using new fuel that seemed to run OK. I would bring the engine up to full speed, then turn on full choke until it almost stalls. I remembered an old tip that said if you did this, it would draw large amounts of fuel through the carburator, and possibly dislodge any particle in one of the jets. The engine ran good before and after the choking procedure, so I still don't know if the problem is gone, or just another sleeping dog. The 420C has given me good service. Hopefully this is will be just a little bump in the road. Because of all the rain forcast, it will be a while before I get to use it again. Charles Ranheim
