was 11 degrees yesterday, it was blowing snow. today suspose to make it all the way to 13. But, by sat. it will be in the high 30's. Not like last sat. when it was 76 degree's.

That LX is sweet ,liquid cooled is it? my lx was well built and should have kept it ,dare to say yours is a 1995 or 6 .... hope ya all feel better .

LX266 not liquid cooled, orginal 16 hp air cooled kohler, Mine has replacement engine 17.5 kohler, started right up at 5 degree this morning in the garage out back.

My hip fracture is at the sciatic nerve where it tunnels through the hip causing inflamation. nothing can be do at this time other than pills when it flares up. Besides after my AN removal don't care for no more hospital feeaskoo's.

was nice and quiet about 10 years ago where I live urban development has really grown in may area east of OKC. Still not bad, but I here traffic alot more now than I use to.

RC: I'd venture to say, the reason that folks have moved into your area and gummed it up with lots of traffic, and noise, is---you've made the area look too nice!!
That happened here, in my area. This was a nice, sparsely populated area, where i could work on my stuff with no problems. Then, the developers got wind of it, and now we are surrounded by scads of new homes!
I think, in my case, they aren't going to say much about my mower repair business, as they figger they can wait me out, i'll croak, they'll put the wife in a home, and then they'll make my heirs clean it all out. Most of the place looks nice, only a couple mowers in plain sight. the Chinks, and rag-heads don't come around here-probably consider me to be a red-neck, so they stay away. Especially after they see my sign: "This property protected by Smith & Wesson! Like to take the chance?"

same around here developers have brought up sqare miles of cow pasture and blackjacks. I don't know where they get all the people to buy them homes they start about 250k and up, some as high as 600K. I'm lucky we have two townships and county around us they can't annex use unless there on three sides or get us to vote on there annexation. So far nobody want to belong to either town and we are still in the county. Notice my eastern screech owl nest boxes. I got two gray and rustic red. the red has be nesting on my property for 9 years.

People like the country so they move there and complain about the smell of manure, tractors in the yard, etc etc.

I suppose soem of them then move out to the country (again) and the cycle continues.

RCMoser - looks ideal! Here in Northern VA they take their time and don't plow the back streets until after they have packed down to a block of ice. By then it doesn't help much.

So a couple of weeks ago when we have snow I got out there at 10 PM with the 1969 Wheel Horse Charger 12 and plowed the road. I met a number of new neighbors after that.

Why does everyone have to say thank you with sweets. I am fat and diabetic and could do without the cookies and pies, not that I don't appreciate the thanks. I wish people would say thanks with steaks, or even gasoline!!

Yep, same here, except they don't even plow the streets, just the snow routes out here where I live. Plowed some more yesterday, got another 8" or maybe 10" tues. and wed morning, hard to tell with the wind blowing. Rescued the lady across the street, she started scooping about the time I was done. They are nice, don't mine helping out nice people! Now some AH like me???????????????? Have to think about it?!?

LX266 nice enough got pedal control and I got it cheap, sure is nice going fwd or reverse! Steers like a caddie, compared to the yugo I had for years.
