Is this similar to what you're thinking? It's made with conduit, attached to a baseboard, 1 x 3 purlins. If so, it's not going to hold up to Colorado's snow. It would be fine if re-covered in the spring and uncovered before heavy snow comes. The hoop pictured was covered with temporary plastic when the pics were taken. We use 6 ml greenhouse plastic.

I'm in Maine. I thought it was great. We made it through two winters without problem. Then this spring came and dumped a foot of wet snow. All three of the hoop houses like this were caved in on one side and one was almost flat. Last Thursday made me realize we got lucky with two mild winters with little snow. We're replacing these with 20' x 48' steel tube framed high tunnels.

what "market" are you targeting? will your hoop have end walls? Price sounds ok but need more details. bangell

im not sure but if you mean endwalls as in a door and a window covered in plastic yes the whole frame is going to be pvc covered in plastic with optional colors i was planning the online market mainly ebay but craigslist and other online sights too

Sounds like you'll need to explain that this hoophouse/greenhouse/prophouse is subject to fail in climates with snow accumulation.

What about shipping costs? What's the package weight?

Are the end-walls framed for a heater, exhaust fan and exhaust shutters? What are they made of?

What thickness of poly? Nobody wants a green, blue, red, orange, or black "house." They need, clear or white.

Personally, the greenhouse hoop bender tool is the best thing on the market today for "smaller" hoophouses such as what you are trying to sell. Instead of PVC, fence rails are bent (much stronger) with ease to form the house. There's a guy on ebay selling this item. Search "Greenhouse Hoop Bender" or something like that.

What kind of door is included? What kind of window???? who needs a window? Nobody needs a window is the answer.

You have a lot of holes to fill possibly.

I don't believe you know what you're getting into. Have you ever used a house? Especially this particular one you wish to sell?

thanks for your input, no the end walls are not frmed for heaters or vents and will be made of pvc covered in plastic, the poly should be 6 mil thickness and i was talking about painting the pvc not the cover :p and yes, i ave used a house, the same kind as this hoophouse but smaller since my yard is not big enough to fit a full sized one

I had a little time to browse the post today. We are already canning fresh greenbeans from garden,seems like everything is growing faster this year. Put up 38 pints of tomatos last week and vines are load again. The people are still selling greenhouse benders on ebay they also started a new web site hoopbenders.net from which I purchased those 6pack trays for starting more plants in. I agree with you their hoop benders are the best thing on the market for doit ourself types. People should be warned that PVC frames will fail in snow conditions. We've been that route just like so many others only our failed because of ice.

You might think of offering some in colored plastic. They won't be suitable for use as greenhouses, but they would work great for people needing storage for tractors, lawn mowers, or even some livestock or hay storage.

I have to agree with the others, your price seems more than reasonable but I am afraid that if there are a number of buyers who experience winter or storm collapses, and without the possible addition of a heater and ventilation your sells might fall below desired levels.

Good luck though on the project. I think you've got a good idea, but might need to rethink the engineering.
