I believe that this is an Aster, Small White Aster (Symphyotrichum racemosum).

Karyn, your Shasta looks identical to my Marconi, a double with a large yellow disk and the white petals are very curly but shorter than most. Mine isn't blooming yet so I can't show a picture of it. I've tried searching the web for more information on this one and so far have come up zilch. I did find some info on 'Crazy Daisy' apparently this one's flowers can vary as it seems to grown from a seed strain, maybe 'Marconi' is from a seed strain too which would explain why some Shasta's grown under the same name are slightly different. Hong, i hope you're enjoying the rain we've been getting. I know my brugs and i are here in Fresno. I like the bougainvillea, do you know what variety it is? I like the bright colors they come in. I have Bougainvillea x Buttiana, B. "Barbara Karst" and am thinking about getting "La Jolla" this spring. It is the closest to red that i have seen around here. What is the plant in the 11th photo? the one with the purple flower spikes? i have seen it blooming in yards and commercial landscapes around town but i don't know what it is. It seems to like the cool weather because i don't think they bloom in the summer.
