Please help ID this insect

Can anyone please ID this insect and how to get rid of them. They started munching my leaves about 6 or 7 days ago and seem to ingnore the blooms. So far they only appear on 2 plants and haven't bothered my Verteran's Honor. I've treated all the plants with Bayer 2 in 1 and the next application is not due until the end of the month.

I think that might be Little Leaf Notcher Weevil, Myllocerus undatus.

they seem stuck to the tree, in the new branches and due to the green color they just seem like part of the branch. Yes I can lift or scratch them off with fingernail. how to get rid of them? thanks.

Thanks! I always thought aphids were white or light green (what I see on my veggies from time to time)so I never considered them as a possibilty here. Would spraying them off with a hose be acceptable to rubbing them off? Even with gloves on, I know I'll be "feeling" them all over for days....

Also, check out Sawflies. The maggots or larvae are the creatures responsible for eating away all the soft parts in tree leaves. Leaving a delicate leaf skeleton behind. I think they are really a type of wasp but they might be an actual fly which is a completely different group of insects.

Moth-like? Hmmmmmmm You have one of the several kinds of cicada. Can't help with narrowing it down any further than that without a geographical location. Though it doesn't matter, really, what species it is. Cicada spend most of their life in the soil, emerging only to mate and deposit eggs. The males fill our summers with their loud buzzzzzzzzzzzzing sounds.

So what does he do? Notch leaves?

If that is all, I would be inclined to leave him alone.
