would like to start pruning early!

We've had quite a mild winter, and the past few days have been unseasonably warm with temps in the 60s. It's been wonderful. Been inspecting my roses and most of them are seriously putting out buds. Then I looked at the bed on the west side and these roses are even more advanced, with Crocus Rose actually leafing out (we're talking big leaves here, not just the tiny beginnings).

Yes it is supposed to cool down after today, but the long-term forecast is for 40s, 50s with lows above freezing. What would it hurt to start pruning dead canes and tips from my roses-mostly Austins and some OGRs?
