Major Book Disappointment

I had bought William Welch's book "Antique Roses of the South" published in 1990 quite a few years ago and was pleased to see there was a "revised and updated" 2004 paperback version that indeed had a different photograph on the cover. And that's almost the only difference I saw! In those 14 years many additional old roses have come into commerce, many of them teas and noisettes. All the roses and descriptions, and indeed the whole content of the book, had not changed at all. I believe there might have been two or three new photographs and that's it. I was so excited to receive this book today and my disappointment was proportionate. I didn't spend much money on this book but I still feel that I've been cheated and fooled. It's sad that someone who is well-known in the old rose field should stoop to this.
