The price of quilt fabric at my Joann's ranges from $2.49 to $6.99. With the coupons, it's a bargain. Even the patriotic prints are $6.99 and that's what they are listed for on their website too. Use one or two of those, along with the $2.49 in other red and blue prints and it's a pretty affordable quilt. I agree that muslin makes a good backing. If you want a print though, use the coupon for a large cut of one of the prints you like so you have enough for the backing plus some for the piecework. If you aren't happy with Joann's though, check any of the on-line quilt shops and search the sale items. Last spring I found a beautiful beige fabric with small deep red and blue stars for just $3/yd. I bought enough to use as backing on a couple QOV lap quilts. Kate

YOU said you had your lawyer google..I do not believe 13 and 14 year olds are digging to find nasty comments about you on their own. They re usually too busy with I pods and games and friends to do that kind of detective work, smacks of adult interference...Stand by PAS...Ignore this and keep your kids out of it...You cant hate your ex more than you love you re kids..You are harming them and when they are adults they will realize this.....

I went to Target and they had one white xmas tree in the whole store and I put it on hold. Went to Kmart and they were sold out of white - Martha Stewart brand. Went to Lowe's and they were sold out of white. Went back to Target and bought their tree. It has a metal stand and lights and is 7.5 feet - will try to get it up this evening or tomorrow. acoreana, our giant cat adopted us. He used to live next door and they kept him as an outdoor cat. One day I heard him meow in the perennial border while I was weeding. I called him out and noticed he was real skinny and scared. He stayed around in our yard for three weeks as an outdoor cat and we fed him because he was so skinny. After a while we wanted to name him a name that started with a B (because our other two cats names start with a B), but couldn't think of a good name. Three weeks went by and he was still here. One day we saw our neighbors outside and we asked them if they knew anyone who had lost a cat. They said - well we haven't seen our cat, but he is a free spirit and goes wherever he wants. We didn't even know they had a cat. We said well he is over here, and they said, is he bothering you, and we said Ohhhh nooooo - he's not bothering us (by this time we just loved him) When we were all departing we said - by the way what is his name - they said his name is Butter. When they said his name - we knew he was meant to be our cat. They told us he was mauled by dogs when he was younger. They have 4 dogs - he shivers if he sees a chihuahua and he is bigger than them - so that's why we think he came over to our property. They have since said as long he is happy that is all they care about. That's how he adopted us. I call him little because he's sweet - but he is a gentle giant. He follows me around in the yard like a dog and is a wonderful cat. Thank heaven for small favors. Here is another photo of Butter in the garden.

Johnson Tile makes a line of white and biscuit tiles -- you can get 3 x 6, 4 x 8 and 4 x4. You can get plain or crackle. We used the 3 x 6 biscuit crackle in the powder room and the 4 x8 plain white in the master. The tiles are very flat like the original subway tiles. They are machine made so priced less than hand made, but they have a nice quality which is almost like hand made. There is a nice choice of skirting tile, chair rails and cap tiles. The line is the "Studio" collection within the Johnson Minton Hollins collection. It is a UK company but they have a major distribution warehouse in New Jersey and they are sold through many tile stores. The entire brochure is viewable at the Johnson website.
