Does anybody have these near me?
I live in the Adirondacks

I have The Alnwick Rose, three of them. It's a wonderful rose, with an upright, rather narrow growth habit. It grows to about 2 1/2- 3 feet tall here.

I only know how to pronnouce it, courtesy of Michael Marriot from DA roses. It's "annick", to rhyme with "panic".

I have all but the Alnwick Rose. Cape Diamond was new last year so will take a while to mature, the jury is still out. Champlain and Henry Hudson are 5-6 years old, are quite large, and repeat well. Both are disease resistant.

I just ordered The Alnwick rose - I'm glad everyone is so happy with it!! Yeah!!

I hated my Henry Hudson. It looked ratty, was too small (1/2 a foot) and barely bloomed. Granted I only had it for one year before we moved. Hopefully others have had good experiences with HH.

This a picture of my Alnwick Rose it was planted in a large pot in Feb. 08. It has really been a bloomer even in our hot climent.

I have just added Alnwick Rose to my list. Looks like a beauty. Thanks for the lovely pics. I'm anxious to see Cape Diamond which I planted last November.

I used to have The Alnwick Rose. I've attempted growing this rose twice and in conclusion, there are three things that I don't like about it:

1) Most of the time, the scent is not always present. A huge let down.
2) the flower form is small and the petals scatter quickly.
3) I don't like the colour - it fades quickly to a glistering white/ pale pink colour.

The only good thing about this rose is that it repeats quite fast.

Sam 1239, this rose was renamed by Austin not too long ago...it was formerly ALNWICK CASTLE. It is a nice pink english rose.

I have The Alnwick Rose in Zone 5. Mine dies to the ground but grows to 5'. Yes, mine is narrow too. Lots of blooms, but they shatter very quickly. In my garden it is the colour of Harold's rose, not as pink as Bob's.
