Potted roses breaking dormancy Please advise.

I've fooled my potted roses into thinking they live in Florida. That's bad, very bad for Virginia roses in January. Two of an unknown OGR and one of my Oklahomas have broken dormancy and have tiny, 1/4" new growth. They are just 6" sticks I surprised myself by rooting last year. And I mean just sticks. These particular ones kept 1-2 green leaves all winter. About 10 days ago I did bring them inside the house because we had two days of below freezing weather. BUT they also froze solid in their one gallon pots about 5 days ago when I forgot to bring them in on the screened in porch. How much cold can they take and not die on me? (esp if I forget, again, to bring them in with new growth?)
