For me the real beginning of orchid growing started when I joined this forum back in 2003. I had some plants before that, but wasn't totally smitten by them. The ones I had just sort of hung around and bloomed. When I got involved with all you evil people, the boxes really started arriving in the mail.

The only two plants I still have that predate my joining here are two Milts. I'm sure I've had both for close to 10 years now and I still like them.

I just looked at my member page and the date I joined GW was Sept 6, 2003. I guess today is my anniversary.
