Yes, they gave me back my money. I did get the new one to the mechanic. She should be home tonight. LF and I decided to finally name her. Carnelian. It had to be red and it had to be gemstone. I forgot to mention, now I have a backup computer for the car! Yea! I am somewhat of gear-head myself, so let me preface this with, I know what cars run well. And I am a big fan of the Asian cars that seem to run forever. All of our cars at one time were Mazdas. Dad's are often Mazdas, Grandaddy loved Hondas.... Every now and again, I'll buy an American made car. I loved loved loved the '90 Eclipse I had. It was heavy in the right places, you know, cling to the road when you put the pedal down? ;) And all the comforts I like (curvy, fast, seat hugging...). Right now, I am driving a little Chevy Cobalt. It has renewed my hope for American made cars! It's cute, sporty, roomy, just right. LF cannot stop pressing all the buttons on it. I took everything automatic off my car as it died,or it came with manual stuff. I have crank windows, manual locks. He just loves the buttons. I have decided, in a couple of years when I am no longer covered in muck, I am buying a newer American made car. While still keeping my fun car of course. :)

I woke about 4 a.m. and thought that the moonlight wasn't as bright in our bedroom as it had been. I caught the beginning of the eclipse, over the top left portion of the moon. I watched until I could see only a scimitar of light at the far right side of the moon, then we got *cloud cover*! Phooey. Back to bed with cold feet. I didn't see a very bright copper. I wonder if our atmosphere got a bit cleaned up during the no-fly days after the air control fire. Maybe I just couldn't see it at its' peak. Humbling experience.

Larsi, I agree 100% that the original Tide powder is the top performer! My sheets washed in original Tide powder were definitely softer and smelled better than the same sheets washed in Miele UltraWhite. In a way it's a bummer because I don't want to have to settle for second best. My mom used the same combination while we were growing up--Tide powder and Downy April fresh. I love it, too! That's awesome that you are able to re-create the scent of your childhood with the real tide and non-concentrated downy! It's a comforting scent :) I sniffed the non-concentrated AF Downy and it didn't smell the same as I remembered, I wonder if it smells a little different once washed? Though, I have been very happy with the scent of original Tide powder and Downy F&C.

Monday's child is fair of face. This is me but I don't agree :-). My face is okay but it leans a little too much into aging. It doesn't seem Fair. 😐 Also When I don't have migraines I work very hard so I act/feel more like a Saturday. Saturday's child works hard for a living. This is DH. He works very hard and it has worked very well for him. It helps that he is very good at what he does! Thursday's child has far to go. This is DS. He has learning and social challenges. Yes he has a long way to go. But he struggles through it. Tuesday's child is full of grace. This is DD. I agree. But she is such a hard worker like her father that she must have been born on both Tuesday and Saturday.
