Fuel pump #1 $150

fuel pump relay $70

fuel fuse $0.30

All done on Tuesday. The car didn't start. :(

Wednesday, Dad found a new computer for it and bought one for $75, in a 75 mile roundtrip find. Mark came that night and put it on. It still didn't start. I'm not sure how much gas cost for them, but add it to the tally.

Friday, I had the car towed. It was free! Yea!

Saturday-Monday, the rental car total is about $50 a day and I'll need it at least another day, so I'll say $200.

A week later, the mechanic (price on that one? Haven't heard yet) calls and says it IS the fuel pump. The one we replaced last Tuesday and at least $275 ago? Not to mention the time and energy poured into it. I still have to get a fuel pump #2 to him. But it may be alive!

My point being, ARGH! It's not like we didn't do that already. And I could've had my baby sooner. She's almost home!!!

Growing up in Wisconsin with a dad who loved to fish, he always made the same comment when we'd see a duck and her brood swim by the boat: "Muskie's gonna have good eatin'!" and then he'd tell me how he'd actually seen big fish take the little birds from below "like a shark - chomp!" ok renaruto this may be a case in which you provided way too much info and details about your ex wife to your new girlfriend and now she is using that against you which imo is immature and only shows how insecure she really is, i only say that because this exact situation has happened to me before only thing different is that my son is 5 yo and is unable to keep a cell phone....women can be very good at hiding their true feelings about certain issues to get you to open up to them and disclose unnecessary information and due to their own insecurities will make you the bad guy when all you were doing from the get go is being totally honest ...i do believe that sometimes theres such a thing as being too honest...did you really have to tell your new gf that your ex wife still wants you?... by saying that you set your self up for constant drama and nagging everytime she contacts you whether it is important or not...any way the answer to your problem lies in your heart i made my decision to make my son a priority and had to break up with my previous gf the good thing was that i am now with a woman who understands and supports my decision to be a good father and doesnt question the communication between me and my sons mother it is truly a beautiful feeling to not feel like you have to choose sides between the ones you love if she really loves and respects you she will trust you and leave it all up to you to set boundaries with your ex wife without having to butt in...hope this advice is not too late

Personally I prefer polished chrome and polished nickel, but I have traditional tastes. Satin finishes are more modern or contemporary, so it depends on your style. If possible, it's preferred that the finishes in a room coordinate even if they don't match exactly. For example, you can mix finishes, but I'd keep them to two if possible. If you're building a home from the ground up, and have the option of matching the hardware to the fittings, then that probably is the best route. So either all satin nickel, satin chrome, polished nickel or polished chrome. If it's too late to do that then I'd try to at least match the finishes if you can't match the metals. Hope that helps.

Well, there's nothing like going back to point A---Thank Goodness the mechanic found the problem----does it have a money-back on it? It sure oughtta----even if it came from a salvage yard---most are pretty good about wanting to keep customers happy.

Yes, they gave me back my money. I did get the new one to the mechanic. She should be home tonight. LF and I decided to finally name her. Carnelian. It had to be red and it had to be gemstone. I forgot to mention, now I have a backup computer for the car! Yea!

I am somewhat of gear-head myself, so let me preface this with, I know what cars run well. And I am a big fan of the Asian cars that seem to run forever. All of our cars at one time were Mazdas. Dad's are often Mazdas, Grandaddy loved Hondas.... Every now and again, I'll buy an American made car. I loved loved loved the '90 Eclipse I had. It was heavy in the right places, you know, cling to the road when you put the pedal down? ;) And all the comforts I like (curvy, fast, seat hugging...). Right now, I am driving a little Chevy Cobalt. It has renewed my hope for American made cars! It's cute, sporty, roomy, just right. LF cannot stop pressing all the buttons on it. I took everything automatic off my car as it died,or it came with manual stuff. I have crank windows, manual locks. He just loves the buttons. I have decided, in a couple of years when I am no longer covered in muck, I am buying a newer American made car. While still keeping my fun car of course.
