Getting blustery. Need hearty food!

Beef brisket slow roasted for hours. Found a new run of green onions in the garden so we'll have champ, just dripping with butter and gravy off the brisket for overs. Home canned green beans simmered with smoky bacon and shallots. Escalloped apples instead of salad.

Gotta use up that canned pumpkin to make way in the freezer for this year's so pumpkin pie, with whipped heavy cream and plain old honest coffee.

Yum.
