Scalped grass coming back on Reseeding

I did a scalp/core aerate/big-time thatch/tear-up/rake job on my old lawn (mostly TTPR) and reseeded with 30% America KBG/40% Moonlight KBG/30% Oxford Hard Fescue. Had added starter fertilizer to soil 7 days before reseeding.

I've been very good about keeping the seed watered, but guess what? It's 9 days after the reseeding, and while the Hard Fescue is germinating, the scalped TTPR is making a return from the dead - and we've got a week left before the KBG even begins making its appearance.

The as-yet ungerminated seed is not showing on the surface. If the TTPR keeps coming back, would I be better to gently-as-possible mow the TTPR (which is spotty, but definitely trying to return) this coming weekend (that would be Day 14) or just hope that the KBG can get enough light to get established? I can live without the lectures about how I should have used Roundup, but any other brilliant ideas about how to deal with this?
