Prune/repot phalaenopsis after 2 consecutive blooms?

I have a Phalaenopsis (about 6-7" pot). I got it last July, when it was blooming. The flowers lasted until the fall, when I pruned it above a couple of the nodes. Two more flower stems budded from there, and the flowers are just now starting to wilt.

Not sure what I should do now. Some of the bark seems to be decomposing. Should I repot now? Should I trim the flower stalk all the way to the ground, or should I just prune above the nodes like I did before? Does the phal need to "rest" after blooming for such a long time? Also I'm confused because I read that the natural bloom time is spring, so is mine all messed up now?

Thanks!
