hard prune type 2 experiment - alas no blooms!

hello everyone,

i'm quite sad to report that after hard pruning the following type 2s to 6 inches in spring: henryii, ramona, multiblue

... they have yet to bloom.. ok a few scattered ones, but that's it. no mass blooming later in the season like i expected..

i've treated them like all the rest of my type 2 clematis, watering when dry, fertilizing in spring & summer with rosetone & fresh compost.. everything else bloomed as they should.

i am only slightly hopeful now the weather is cooler that maybe they will put out a late fall bloom. i can only conclude that some soil or weather factor, or maybe root maturity is causing my failure while so many other people are reporting success :(

well there you are, thought i'd share. there's always next year!
