Push Pull organic control of borer larvae, will it work on SVB?

I couldn't get an answer on the companion planting forum, it is compeltely dead, so I posted in the Vegetable forum, but I forgot about Organic forums, so here it goes:

Cow peas and napiear grass create a push-pull technology, the cow peas emit the same thing parasitic flies do to repel the bug called Kairomone, pushing the bug away from them, the napier grass attracts the bugs with a sticky substance that traps the borers and kills them or holds them until the parasitic wasps come. There is 90 percent kill rate for the two of these planted around their crop of corn or sorghum.

I read on one sight it is useful for all stem borers, so does this mean if I plant these two plants, the napier grass around the parimeter of the squash plants and then plant cow peas with the squash plants, what are the chances of this working on the squash vine borer?

This sounds like it could work, any experience with this, or any opinion why it would only work on one specific moth?

Thanks ahead of time.
