Good Morning Pidge. I don't believe we got it quite as bad here in Baltimore County but lots of rain and windy this morning. This weather is going to put me behind and I want to leave on May 15th + we are going to have family thing at OC for a week. What happened to all that free time I was going to have when I retired. Just got back from taking Ferrell to the vet to have a tooth pulled and drove through lots of slush with snow coming down. It's a real mess here in Pa and even worse in NJ. We have friends whose son runs in the Boston Marathon every year and today is the race. It will be in the 40s with 50 mph gale winds and they haven't cancelled it. I need Don's picture on my wall. Think I'll put it on my desktop...he is such an upper.

Yeah, we're suppose to get up to 60mph winds here today later - crazy. There's a ton of down wires and broken street lights

My kitties walked all over me last night too.

I don't know how the forsythia blooms are still on my neighbor's bush!!!!!!!!!

Local Weatherbug shows wind gusts to 60 mph so far. Local schools are closing 3 hours early. I am watching 130'-tall trees swaying in 60-70° arcs; SUV sitting at traffic signal is rocking.

I think I saw the forsythia petals flying past me as I was driving in to the office.

Windy here but that is not necessariy a bad thing. I pulled a bunch of dead stems from last year's flowers out of the flower bed yesterday. Today when I went out to pick them up and haul them away they had blown away! My neighbors might not like me too well though. HEE! HEE!

Awakened at 5:30 by 3 year-old DS telling me "There's strange noises downstairs".

Halfway down the stairs I feel bitter blasts of wind. The storm had blown the front door wide open. It's part of a two door entry and someone forgot to latch the other door's top and bottom into the frame. The wind was strong enough to blow them both open enough to release the deadbolt on the door.

But I couldn't figure out what the problem was and just tried to close the door, it wouldn't close. I then saw the deadbolt still out and was really confused. I started thinking someone must have kicked the front door in! (MIL was in a minor traffic accident yesterday and the fellow who hit her wanted to just give her money and split -she said no) I'm thinking retaliation. So I don't see damage. I turn back the deadbolt, shut the door and re-lock. Both doors swing open with the next blast. Really, really confused!

Now the whole house is up and the problem is explained. I felt kind of silly.

Wow that's crazy! I probably would have freaked and searched my house with an umbrella or something!

I never updated my locale...Denmark is not being hit by the Nor'easter, Delaware is.

Thankfully no damage when it came thru here. Just 3 inches rain and gusty winds which nicely washed away the thick layer of yellow pollen covering everything.

Looks like NJ may be getting the worst with heavy flooding. Hope this is winter's last gasp and we can all look forward to some mild spring weather. josh

We had 5" of rain here in DElaware County, and it is still cold and windy. I want to be wearing flip-flops, not clogs. I swear I will NOT complain about the heat in July (maybe).
