About me: I am trying to tame and reclaim a 160 acre hilly woodland site which has been in my family for about 100 yrs. This land has been strip mined and high-grade timber cut. It has an oak hickory deciduous forest average age about 30 years and many native wildflowers. White tail deer are a big problem. I am retired and my husband and I are building a small home on this land. In addition to making a woodland garden and cleaning up the woods other hobbies include oil painting, writing poetry, scuba diving and glass blowing. I am also a wildflower volunteer at our local metro park. I would like to build a thorny hedge around the whole place to keep out that invasive species deer hunters who trespass and litter at will!
Oh yes, and I love violets!A link to see photographs of my work Click on rebecca-paintings. Enjoy

Commented: Central Ohio Plant Swap 2014 stepj98, I don't need ditch lilies but I would like an interesting fern or two. I have Japanese painted ferns and native ferns. So if you pick one or two others that would work. Alas no pumpkins but ...
