Anger management

I came across this in a novel... (slightly paraphrased because I forgot to write it down, and then loaned the book). Anyway, it seems like something I need to remember the next time I see red.

"When you are deeply angry with someone, take the time to find three good things about them."

I'm not sure if it's the taking of time, or the requirement to look for three good things, but this does seem to put some perspective on the issue. It doesn't get rid of justifiable anger, but it does put it into a manageable size.
