What is the Most 'Unique'.....

There are three or four local cemetaries I visit when I have a little extra time in the area.

One goes back pre-Civil War and has a section for soldiers from that war with burials all the way to current day. A lot of beautiful architecture, statues, etc.

Another was the cemetary where victims of Yellow Fever were buried, some whole families together.

The most 'unique' is located in the little fishing town near where I live.

There is a very wide range of ethnic/cultural diversity as well as religious affiliation.

There are no 'rules' as with the newer cemetaries.

Every family literally 'does their own thing.'

Fences, arbors, plantings, lights, benches, swings, decorations, etc. Many are now decorated for Mardi Gras and Valentine. Several had New Orleans Saints flags, banners, decor.

I visit here a couple of times a month while my son is in acrobatics.

I have seen a wide range of momentos in this particular cemetary. Again, every family 'does their own thing.'

I have to say that today I saw the most 'unique' item on a grave I have ever seen.

An 8 foot concrete giraffe.

And about 20 small giraffes.

What is the most unique item you've ever seen in this setting?
