How to lower pH?

Good morning all,

I am in the process of converting my garden to organic.

I have been a miserable failure at growing tomatoes for years and am just now figuring out why. They need a soil that is between 6.2 and 6.8 pH. With the addition of water from my well with each watering, it brings the pH up and over 8 each time. I have amended the soil with organic compost and manure for the last 3 years. We have very sandy/rocky soil naturally.

While I am not a chemist, I can clearly see that my tomatoes struggle every year. Is there something organic that I can add to the soil that will help offset the pH that the well water adds with each watering?

Your help will be much appreciated by this organic newbie!
