I hit the floor running early this morning and just now started slowing down.

First off, I had an appointment to have my car worked on.

My best friend met me there and dropped me off at Katrina's

to get her car for the day.

From there I went on over to the house to meet the town

arborist (sp) for some advice on the 2 trees in my backyard.

He was supposed to be there at 10:00 am but didn't make it

til 12:00. The good news is I won't have to cut down the

trees, just have them pruned. Also, I found out the city

will advise me on the right kind of trees if I choose to

plant more in the front and even plant them free of charge.

I smelled gas as soon as I walked in the kitchen so I had

Katrina call the city. They sent someone out immediately

but there was no problem.

Steve was already there working on tearing out the master

bath. What a mess!!!! You would not believe what was under

that huge tub. The plumbers had left BIG spaces around the

pipes and some animals had built nests under there.

Also the tub had been set on sand, of all things.

The tub, shower and potty is gone and tomorrow the mirrors

will go. Thank goodness my phone call to the electrician,

Terry, got some much needed help for Steve.

I called the glass company about the mirrors. I thought

since they specialized in glass they could remove the

mirrors safely. They weren't going to charge me anything

but since there was so much and it was glued and it would

take so long, it's going to cost me, naturally.

The plumbers that did Katrina's bathroom came back to put

the extra hook for her hand held shower and while they

were there I got them to cap the faucet on the outside

north side of the house that had been dripping. It had no

way to turn it off and the plumber said he would put a new

one on when he did the plumbing for the master bath.

The glass company had replaced the cracked window in the

sun room. I think I'll go over there and try my hand at

cleaning the tile and the new windows tomorrow. I wish I

had been dressed for demolishing stuff today, I could

really get into that.

I got the call at 4:30 to pick up my car but when I went

out to get in Katrina's car, it was locked up and the keys

were in it. Terry drove me over to her apt. to get another

key. I kept thinking what next? I finally got my car and

since it is still under warranty I only had to pay $16.86

for a new battery for my key thingy.

I'm telling you, folks, when I got in my car, I turned the

heated seat on, racked up the heat and got warmed up. It

felt so good. I've been cold all day.

Tomorrow, I get to do it all over again. :0)
