B&S 6.75-hp ohv engine blowes oil from vent tube

A bit of back ground I picked-up a seized B&S 6.75-hp engine. The seized engine was due to lack of use and left outdoors with the air filter off. I removed the sparkplug sprayed oil in the cylinder and turned the blade back and forth till I un-sized the engine. Added new oil cleaned the carb and gas tank.

I pulled a dozen of times no start I also noticed back-firing out of the carb. I removed the flywheel and sure enough the flywheel key was broken. Fixed the key and the engine started in 4-pulls it smoked for a few minutes then it cleared up then I noticed a spray of oil coming out of the crankcase vent tube. I made sure the crankcase had the proper amount of oil. Try again same thing the vent tube spews enough oil to fill a 1-ounce glass in a few minutes.

Could this be caused by worn rings and what I am seeing is "blow-by"

Next question what is the fix.
