grub killer application timing for Michigan?

Hello, all.

My lawn got grub attach last year and I want to prevent it this year. I read that I need to apply grub killer in the last week of June or the first week of July. Does this apply to Michigan too? This year we are having a bit late summer and I don't see any beetles yet, so I was wondering if those two weeks are good timing.

I am thinking Bayer's season long application, but any recommendations on grub killer? What I am thinking is that I'd be better off if I apply them early than late, so I am going to put some down in the last week of June. Does this make sense?

Thanks.
