If you get $200 for it, and it is used, that's a fair price. If you find someone who wants it really bad, they might pay more, who knows. I get my lawn boys at the dump. I've gotten two over the last month. both run. they are older machines, but hey, they're lawn boys. I love lawn boys. If I put these on e-bay, I'd want about $120 or so for each of them. But right now no plans to sell them, just keeping them.

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I'd say replace it! I recently replaced a Lawn Boy 10525 that I've been using for about 10 years with a Toro 20068. I find the Toro superior in every respect. - The LB's small wheels (especially in the front) make it a rough go on my less-than-perfect lawn. The Toro is much smoother. - The LB's offset wheels make it a PITA to move across the driveway over the Belgian blocks. With the Toro, I just lift the front wheels and place them on the other side of the blocks, then lift the rear wheels and push the mower over the blocks. Not so easy with the LB. - Changing the LB from bagging to mulching to side-discharge is much more time-consuming - The LB is on its second set of rear wheels, I believe partly because the jerk of engaging the drive eventually loosens the tires from the wheels so they slip. The personal-pace system is much smoother. I was hesitant about PP but after using it a few times I think it's great. - The LB is on its third set of front wheels because they're so damn small! The last time, I replaced the 6" wheels with 7" wheels and set the front height adjustments 1/2" lower than the rear. That was somewhat of an improvement. - The LB resists being pulled backwards unless you move forward a foot or so after disengaging the drive. Not so with the Toro ... just pull it back, no problem. - The LB Duraforce engine surges from time to time. The Toro runs smooth all the time. - The Toro mulches better and doesn't clog as easily. - The Toro is smoother and quieter. The electric start and blade brake on the 20068 probably aren't necessary, but I'm glad I got them ... especially the blade brake. With the blade disengaged, the PP system can still be used to propel the mower back up the hill after I've finished mowing. The Lawn Boy engine has been reliable and still starts on the first pull. I was going to place it on the front lawn with a "Take It" sign but, now that I see there's a market for these old machines, maybe it's worth trying to sell.

Please save the negative comments re Lawnboy 2 cycles. I used mine for 21 years and never, ever had a problem until a crack in the aluminum housing literally pulled the engine apart, it lost compression, and there were no parts available to fix it. Loved that mower, loved the 2 cycle, the scent of the exhaust (reminded me of being out on my boat), and the reliability. Nothing on the market will pick up clippings and leaves as well as that mower did, nothing. Caruso

I've patched my C21ZPRA magnesium deck with straps of aluminum from the hardware store. Most places I used flat head screws with nuts but in a few spots I couldn't drill through the housing, so I used self-drilling screws simply as self-tappers. So far it's working well. Finally managed to slightly bend the crankshaft extension. I'm able to set the blade so it doesn't vibrate. I replaced the spark plug when I was having starting problems last year, but the old plug is fine. Parts prices are insane. If they actually have any decks left, no one is going to pay over $500 for one. Let it go for $50, maybe someone would buy it. $275 for a crankshaft? Out of sight. Guess they're attached to this stuff; don't want to sell any? No one around here can weld magnesium. The stuff burns intensely if it is not welded with the right equipment and skill. Easy with the right stuff, mainly the correct filler rod and TIG, like aluminum. A shop that repairs old VW crankcases (magnesium, with some aluminum and zinc for strength) should be able to weld a Lawn-Boy magnesium deck. CO2 or water makes Mg burn more intensely as both have oxygen in them. Maybe if I ever get back out to Oregon with the mower I can get the VW specialist next door to my father in law's house to fix the deck. For some reason I typed "1981" when it should have been "1991."
