I still have to figure out the best way to keep these from moving on the post, but here they are....

And I still have to attach this one to the vase....

These are great,you've been a busy bee. I love the blue color, I have made 2 that color recently.The green one reminds me of the ones I am making for my "Emerald City" to go in my "Oz Garden" that I am working on. Those post toppers are a little tricky to glue, I have not mastered gluing the last piece on. Your pics are great,wish I could figure out how to post pics like that.

What a tranquil, lovely spot you found to make home, dulcimerduo! Your totem is very pretty. I love how you incorporated the round pieces. I always think it is fun when people put a figurine underneath a bigger glass piece. Definitely gives the totems more character! Like the rest of the folks, I just love George! I'm glad he managed to fit in your Honda Civic! Only a Garden Junker would be so determined to fit something that size in a small car. he-he I can't wait to see pictures of your new and improved pond too! Here's a funny observation ... I was looking at the picture of your pond and I was wondering about the little gnome standing on the branch of the tree ... that was until I realized it was your DH pushing a wheelbarrow in the background! lol! Years ago, in one of my magazines, they had an article of how someone totally enclosed a mobile home to make it look like a cute cabin. It was located on a lake and they made a screened porch along the whole front of it. Looking at the finished enclosure, you would never know there was a mobile home under it! I could kick myself for not keeping the article. It looks like you have a similar idea! Please keep the pictures coming!

Thanks for your kindness and encouragement everyone! I had fun doing them. :) Jane, the top of the second one is a ceramic artichoke. It was a salt shaker in a previous life. LOL I found it hanging out by itself at GW and decided it could look pretty in my garden as it's retirement home. I caulked the holes shut so hopefully it will remain dry inside. Now I need some colorful bugs made to add interest outside. Will be on the look-out for creative ideas from all of you!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Kudzukween, its a red vase I've been having and the rooster was filled with infused vinegar. It had olives, peppers, etc. that I emptied out because I though the rooster would be pretty on a totem. Lol. Ymaddox, welcome to the forum. I recently found this site and I am so glad I did. I finally found people who collect and make things out of stuff other people would throw away. As for the tipsey pot, I saw it at a flea market, it is a pipe with something that looks like wings that fits in the bottom pot. After buying this, I found this forum and saw everyone was using rebar and sticking it in the ground. I will definately be making some more. Be sure to show us pictures.

Very pretty aqua glass and good idea on the toppers!

I've used the foam pipe insulation to keep them from moving on the post altho next time I think I'll try thicker PVC pipe.

I got big dallrod for mine. The vases with the bigger mouth fits real good on it...

Marlene, they are both great! I really love the 2nd one, just so pretty with the green.

You can tuck most anything inside the neck of the vase to hold them firm. I like just cutting a strip off a sponge and wrapping it around the rod then slipping the neck of the vase down on it.

I have used the foam drawer liners wrapped around the pipe and that works great.

Lovely!! That "marble" topper is beautiful!! Love the aqua & the veined looking lower vase. The green is so refreshing! Great for when the garden isn't flowering much yet or in fall to give garden extra sparkle! Jan

Twomonths, thanks for tip about the foam drawer liners! I have a roll of unused dk green I can put on next totem rebar. Often I use bubblewrap to pad the rebar, it protects the glass the totem and gives a snug fit. And I also like to put PVC over the rebar for some of them.

That blue glass is awesome! I find cobalt but not aqua.

These are both beautiful. Don't know if I have a favorite. Lately Ive been using that foam strip that's sticky on both sides to hold my totems. I like the other ideas here, too. Gives me some options.
