I hope you don't mind me posting the photo link. Learning how to post photos can be frustrating at first, at least it was for me.
Here's a couple of options:
1. If you look at the bottom of the Garden Junk main page you'll find some info. on posting photos. You can only post HMTL photos in the test box, your photo is JPG. Photobucket will generate the HTML version for you then all you have to do is copy and paste.
2. You can post the jpg link to your photo in the "optional link URL" box that appears under the text box. Give the link a name and you're done! One thing about the "optional link URL" box, it only shows up on the "preview your message" page. You won't see it on the original "post a message" one. That seems odd to me but that's the way it is.
Good luck and don't give up. You'll get it!

I think I've got it!! Here's a picture of my yard, at the beginning of last summer. There's been a few changes and I hope to post an update at the beginning of summer this year.
Yehawww I can now post pictures of my crafting and TS runs..lol
I will also post pictures of my greenhouse when it gets done.. Thanks for all the help with my pictures... now if I don't sleep, I can remember it..

What a lovely place you have. Love the composition of circles & balls from the paperweights to the squareyness (is that a word?) of the bottom piece in your first totem.

an Antique store in NC, after I went home, I grabbed my husband and ran back over the mountain and picked up George. He is solid concrete, and about 70 lbs..lol Had a time fitting him in my Honda Civic.
Yes, I have tons of rocks here. I use them as my exercise program as I move a ton of them every year..lol This spring I will move my pond, and make it bigger, yep, more rock moving. Here's a picture of the pond that will be 3 times as big when I'm done. I have Koi in it..

No, its not a shed, well, might be, I consider it my roof. I live with my DH in the lovely 5th wheel, under that roof. The roof to the left is the one over my car. The roof to the right will be my outdoor (screened in) kitchen. My green house will be off the side of that.
My DH travels for work, and until diesel got so high, I followed along with our house. Now we have permanantly parked it under the roof, and have a huge porch, and yard. you will notice various things hanging under there. windows with stained glass pieces. (got that idea right here) I have a bunch of bird cages, mostly antique, hanging under. I had 17 bird feeders out this year. I cut down to about 8 since sunflower seeds went sky high..lol
The next post will show the stairs I built and the one after that is the yard, when we first moved in..

What a great place. I think my fav. would be around the firepit too...

One last photo until my flowers come up in the spring.. There was a huge pile of trash in this spot, from the previous owners of the property. While removing this, I salvaged all the brick, cross ties, flat rocks, and when I found the right spot, built these steps. I spent a total of 2.39 for a bag of sand. I built them in about 2 days, all by myself, working around all those rocks and boulders I couldn't move. I wanted them to look like they have been there a hundred years, I think I succeeded, don't you? I did add a hand rail from that stump-I-couldn't move to a new post at the bottom.
Oh, on the earlier photo's that arrow thingy on a yellow post, is part of a weathervane, I picked up for a buck or two at a yard sale. It's a spinner, and I point it up the stairs if I'm headed that way, or down. lol

OMGosh, dulci...Now I see your 5th wheel...I was looking for the greenhouse! That is so awesome! Your GJ is just wonderful! I can see lots of inspirational ideas in your yard and porch! Love it! Love it! And, an outdoor kitchen, that is so cool!

Now, the steps do look as they've been there 100 yrs... great work & lots of it! And I also love your meditation place! We all need those. What zone do you live in or what state? I live in East Tennessee, near Lake Cherokee. In fact I can walk out back about 1/4 mile, and I'm on the lake. Of course, I have to walk across someone elses property to do it.
If I clear some brush directly beyond the firepit, I can see the lake. there's no water in it right now, so whats the point..lol

The picture with the square garden boxes, the Green house will be between that and the carport for the Outdoor kitchen.. One day, it will get there. I got lucky last year, and won an auction on the big E for 33 wood windows. I paid 40 for all of them. Was a three hour trip each way, but worth it. Most are in my Kitchen area, and the rest will be for green house.

I hate winter, and am bored to death..lol I'm ready for spring..

I love what you have done & it's looking like home already! The firepit & George & benches to sit on & read or talk are so nice! You really have a way of making it "look like home" I think you've chosen a great way to go by buying property. Mobile home parks are so expensive for rent & can go up any amount each year. I had friends forced out last yr. as rent was $650 jumped to $850 (it had been $580 yr before) so this was just in March of 2008. A number of people had to walk away & go live with relatives. The huge fire we had out here took lot of mobile homes & I saw a new 1 for "just" $199,000 so that is unbelieveable expense plus monthly rent & taxes. Sad fact is none of those folks will be living there again unless they had enough insurance to pay down most of the home. The homes were made in early 1960's so not insured for enough to cover cost of new 1. With you owning you have so much more freedom! The roof is great for keeping things cool in summer & your home will last lot longer & require less paint etc because it is protected. Win win situation all round!! Can't wait to see your pond larger!!Jan

Dulci you have been lucky to have traveled with your hubby. Even more lucky to have settled in such a beautiful place. I know how it must feel to dig your roots in and make this you own. Love what you have done and can see all the possibilities for your future home. Like all you have done. AND yes I am with you, spring surely is around the corner.

Hello and Welcome! I really enjoyed your pics, what a pretty place you have made. I envy all your rocks, I have to go aways to gather rocks and you have them right there. Love the steps and the meditation area. Great idea to put the roof over, it helps in all ways, increases your living space, gives much needed shade and shelter. We lived in a 5th wheel that size, for quite a while when my son was a baby. It's suprising how much room you have, when everything is built in. Your outdoor kitchen will be fantastic. We do a lot of cooking outside and I always wanted to do that. I'm with you that's where the greenhouse needs to be so you can use and enjoy it year around. No better place on sunny winter days (or when it's raining). Looking foreward to seeing more when the weather warms up. I absolutely covet your curly-cue arbor!

I was looking at the picture of your pond and I was wondering about the little gnome standing on the branch of the tree ... that was until I realized it was your DH pushing a wheelbarrow in the background! lol!

Years ago, in one of my magazines, they had an article of how someone totally enclosed a mobile home to make it look like a cute cabin. It was located on a lake and they made a screened porch along the whole front of it. Looking at the finished enclosure, you would never know there was a mobile home under it! I could kick myself for not keeping the article. It looks like you have a similar idea!

I keep coming back to this thread to look at your place. It is amazing and looks so peaceful.

We have often thought of doing this very thing. We live in a older, too big, house and are trying to decide what to do about the future. This type thing has been one of the ideas we have explored.

In looking at what you have done, we are really getting excited thinking that is something we could do.
