I adapted a well pump filter to attach to the input to the impeller as the pre-filter. It has worked well for over 10 years despite some unusual challenges like the very small gravel in a pre-planted pot dropped in the pond by the raccoons. (The pot landed upside down on top of the pre-filter and the gravel got sucked right in. I don't buy from that nursery any more.They also used potting soil with perlite and styrofoam beads.) Regular pump maintenance takes care of most other problems. I really don't care for sponge pre-filters. Without almost constant attention they clog and put far too much strain on the motor. I use a pump and pre-filter that can deal with all but the larger debris that gets removed with a net anyway, while the water with finer particulates goes through the pump into the Skippy where it is filtered quite nicely by quilt batting.Once while spring cleaning, the pump was running without the pre-filter on the intake and a fish tried to swim into the intake and got stuck. It was not easy to remove him.

Pam, If you're using the polycarb ridge cap with the same kind of corrugations as the panels, you need to screw it down like the sheets. Or, you can just buy lengths of galvanized steel ridge and screw it to the corrugations and use filler strips to plug the spaces in between. I've used a vented ridge cap on some applications too. It allows hot air to escape through non-leaking vents in the pieces. Easy way to crawl on the structure is to cut a piece of 3/8" OSB to just short of where the ridge edge will go. Build a "stop" out of 2X that'll screw onto the top plate or exposed wall studs to hold the OSB. Screw that to the OSB. Ladder up to the platform and lay the pre-drilled cap in place. Come down and move the structure down the wall 4'. Don't forget to orient the seams away from the prevailing wind. Seal them with some silicone. Depending on the pitch of the roof, you may have to put some thin battens on the OSB sheet to keep from slipping off, or losing a drill...

jamies, if you continue to work, you may improve your benefit payout if the amount you earn in those last 11 years exceeds the lowest earnings in your early working years. So, for example, if you work an additional 11 years and make, say $30k per year, but in the first 11 years in your career you made $15k, then your benefit amount will increase because the best 35 years worth of earnings will be higher. Also, you can't collect soc sec until you reach age 62. I think it's important to understand that the calculation is a two-step process. The first is to calculate your benefit based on your best 35 years of earnings. That will give you your benefit amount. The second step is based on when you start collecting. The sooner you collect, the smaller your monthly payment will be as you will be collecting longer. If you postpone collecting, then your monthly payment will rise as you will be collecting for a shorter period of time. So, for example, suppose actuarially you are expected to live to 85 and they calculate your benefit based on that. At 65 they will expect to pay you benefits for 20 years. If you start collecting at 62, then they will expect to pay you for 23 years. If you start to collect at 70, then they will expect to pay you for 15 years. Thus, your benefit payout gets adjusted based on the estimated number of years you will be collecting. But the initial amount of benefit, prior to that adjustment, is based on your 35 years earnings.

Most self-rising flours sold in the south have the salt. I find some our here in the west don't. Personally, I prefer it with the salt, but that's probably because it's what I grew up on. And that was not a dumb question at all! (Actually, the only two dumb questions I've ever heard were my sister asking me once "Where do you keep your ice?" and once at the restaurant when a cook had stuck a knife all the way into his hand, one of the managers asked, "Are you hurt?" THOSE were dumb questions. LOL!)
