The apple with the spots you suggest are rust, likely aren't. Rust is more than a brown color. It's small pustules which rupture through the leaf surface to reveal colored spores.

Different rusts are different colors. But the key to ID is that when you rub off the spores, they come off on your finger.

AS for your images, can you link to larger versions? These are quite small to be certain of whata's going on.

I am no expert but the leaves show clear signs of a pest problem. I have never seen fruit like that but we have few pests here and I would bet they are also suffering from some pest also.

It sometimes takes awhile but some will come along and answer your question better than I I'm sure.

The fruit Looks like they where "sting" when they were Pea size, to remove the sap or juices by an insect. Call your extension agent for bugs in your area.

Plum leaves look exactly like what happens when a Rose Chafer or more likely a Japanese Beetle feeds on them. Plum are preferred by both for some reason. Chafers are early (June 1 to June 15) and Japanese Beetles don't show up until mid July here. Only way to know for sure is to watch your trees for new damage and actually see the insect on the leaf.

Also be aware that if you aren't spraying, Plum Curculio is surely coming in and taking bites, laying eggs on/in your young fruit.

I would guess that you're seeing a combination of damage from leafrollers, plum curculio, a little bit of apple scab, and probably some other things.

To grow fruit in Minnesota, you really do have to spray regularly in order to get any edible fruit at all. Even the organic producers spray here, they just use organic spray instead of synthetic.

The absolute minimum is to use a combination "home fruit" spray starting in the spring after petal fall and then at 2-3 week intervals until the end of June.

Pears that look like that here have probably been suffering from stink bugs. They get all over my Seckels and, to a lesser degree, Boscs and others. I don't spray for them because enough of the fruit is fine and they feed almost all season.
