Ficus Lyrata - Fiddle Leaf Fig Lighting Question

Hi Guys

I just bought my first "non low-light" plant, the Fiddle Leaf.

I became obsessed with it after I saw it in a movie (took me weeks to ID it) So I really would like to see it thrive.

Here's the problem.

I live in an urban neighborhood where I have a house sandwiched on either side of my house (my house faces east)

So that pretty much leaves out a south facing window which after what I have read on-line seems to be the preferred lighting direction?

So my choices are either an East facing window or a West facing window. Does it matter which window I use or are they both really the same lighting timeframe/strength?

Thanks so much!
