Blue bean fruit pollenation

gliese
11 years ago

Hi. Does anyone know if blue bean fruit requires a pollinator? I have one, and thought it was self fertile, but all the things I thought were developing fruits have fallen. Well, I think they were young fruits since they stuck around after what I think were the female flowers fell off and pictures on Dave's Garden show them growing in threes. Here's a picture of them:

Anyone know how this species works? I've been waiting a while to try them and now that it has flowered the fruits are almost all gone. Thanks.

Here is a link that might be useful: {{gwi:118062}}
