Swedish ivy failing to thrive ? I MUST be an idiot
Comments (25)@tiffany - lol, same here! Maybe Key West and a perfectly shaded porch so I don't have to run outside every few hours to move everyone around so they don't get sunburned :) I can dream, right ? And that link is very helpful! Right now I have a massive rainbow club moss just hanging out in there while I try to figure it what to do with her....(another "help me" post in the making). @karen - I can't tell you how much I appreciate your input. I fall in love and bring a plant home, spend a little time with it - then it drops a leaf or starts drooping and I get panicky as a new mother. And that's helpful about the alocasia because I think mine are moving toward that state. Should I leave them alone or prune later in the fall ? @jamila - you should totally get one! I hear they're easy care ;p...See MoreSwedish Ivy Illness

Comments (2)there is a houseplant forum .. and you might get a lot of good info in that forum.. about growing things indoors ... personally ... i would add the word PROPAGATION to the latin name.. and get a couple new plants going ... just in case this one fails ... how long has it been in that pot ... i am wondering whether the media is starting to fail.. leading to watering issues ... but before i would repot it.. i would get other pieces rooted ... also.. the move could have shocked it a bit.. but i doubt it would be this severe.. since you didnt slam it into full sun.. from relative darkness ... ken ps: australia.. doesnt know what cold is.. lol ......See MoreShould I repot my Swedish ivy?
Comments (2)first.. i always let a new plant acclimate to my house for at least a month.. its stressed from the move ... let it de-stress ... second ... if it grew that way ... who am i to think i need to bury the roots it put.. where it wanted it .... being new.. you might be on the verge of loving it to death .... just learn how to water it properly .. and you should have 99% success rate ... start messing with it.. you will reduce said rate ... ken ps: the odd yellow leaves.. may have been if it was grown on a bench with a hundred others.. and it was pulled out for sending to the seller ... ignore such.. unless 75 of the leaves start yellowing .... its just nbd right now ... [i like the bench idea.. because of the way it is set in the pot .... like some plant next to it was growing on it ...]...See Morewiccadgardener
