Should I repot my Swedish ivy?

Shannon Lise

I'm new to plants, so go easy on me. :P I recently purchased a Swedish ivy plant (photo 1). It's in a 5" pot but it seems to be almost falling out of the pot - it's all on one side right up against the edge and the roots are showing, as if it isn't deep enough in the soil (photo 2). Should I repot it in the same pot and try to center it and cover the root? Should I move to a bigger pot?

Also, there are a few leaves at the base that are starting to turn yellow at the edges (photo 3). Overwatering? Underwatering? Lack of sun? I keep the plant in indirect sunlight and water sparingly once a week (if soil feels dry).

I'm also curious to know the scientific name of this type of Swedish ivy, as I realize there are several different plants called by this name.

P.S. It looks super sunny in photo 2 but it's just a lamp I was using to take the pictures

Thanks for any help!
