Please help me save my arugula

Hi,

I planted a fall crop of arugula and the whole things is covered in white blotchy areas. In some of the plants it's along the edges, but it's not confined to the edges. Yesterday I harvested all of the leaves that had any white on them and I also harvested most of the unaffected plants. Today I went to my garden center with the affected leaves and was told it looks like something is eating the plants. When I got home today the remaing leaves -- ones that were unaffected yesterday -- were covered in white spots and botches. What could it be? I can't figure out how to upload a photo -- I've tried.
