Pumpkins and cucumbers in trouble??

mattjjd24

Over the past 2 weeks, the oldest leaves on my pumpkin and cucumber plants have died. I dont know if this is normal or not. In the case of the pumpkins, the distal ends of the vines seem to be doing well and I think are still growing. The pumpkins themsleves seem fine as well, and about half are a beautiful orange. I'm getting flowers, but all male. Cucumber production has fallen off some, but I'm still picking some every other day. All other plants in the garden are doing great.

So is there some common problem here? Or is it normal for the oldest leaves to die after a time?

Thanks in advance for any help.
