I'm worried that the OLD WOMAN has taken Ms Sandy aka

use2Bcapecodder as a HOSTAGE ! ! !

you know that that OLD WOMAN was really flirting with

Mr Jim/aka Grumpy by choice ~~~~ but....

she might have locked Ms Sandy in the basement or

tied her up in the garden....

cause ..... she wanted to be alone with / Mr Grumpy...

I've missed Sandy too, hope her Fibro hasn't flared up real bad. And of course that the Old Woman hasn't done something to her. Tho I can't blame OW for wanting Jim all to herself one bit. LOL.

First of all i'm sorry for the loss of your son!!! You have done the best thing for yourself and dh and i'm sure your son is smiling down and giving you an" atta girl,"and thumbs up. It's hard enough having someone live with you and then when they don't follow the rules~~~~~~~~~well it's just hard. We did this a couple of times with our gd,and her boyfriend,and first one kid,then a few years later them and 2 kids. She was fine for the most part,but her bf was a whole different can of worms,thought and still thinks the world owes him everything,and he doesn't have to work.In the 10 years they were together,he probably didn't work 6 mos in all that time. Finally this year dgd saw the light and dumped his sorry a** to the curb.Thank You JESUS.She and the kids are living with his mom and stepdad,and they have a restraining order against him.She will start school this month for dental assistant.The kids are both in school full time,and dgd said she is truly happier than she has been for the past 10 years. Everyone tried to get her to see the light all these years,but I guess she had to see what we all saw for herself. Last time they were here and we put them out,i gave them,mainly him until sunset that day,and while they were packing dh and I went to lowes and got new locks for all the doors,came home and put them on.He was gone by sunset that night,we had told her that she and the kids could stay,but she decided "she loved him too much,and the kids needed him",for what I don't know. We're so glad that she finally saw the light as are his parents,and family. I'm so glad you took your house and your life back and I wish you nothing but love,joy and peace as you move forward. kathi

Just a few years ago, I spent a most enjoyable afternoon visiting the Rocket/Space Center in Huntsville. Just as we entered, we were approached by a volunteer docent who asked if we had any questions. I said we'd just come in, didn't know what to look at. He suggested we accompany him on a personal narrated tour during which he could answer any questions we had. He was a retired engineer/scientist who'd spent his career there and enjoyed his gig as a docent, interacting with visitors. It was fantastic. I think few Americans know that "our" rocket knowledge and expertise in the 1950s and 1960s, from our ICBMs to our first satellites and including the moon launch vehicles, came in large part from the German Nazi rocket scientists (who'd developed the V1 and V2 missiles) that we grabbed at the end of WWII and brought to the US. They ultimately wound up in Huntsville and became the brains of the American rocket development effort. Wernher von Braun and many dozens of his team. Our docent was a little reluctant to speak about it but I asked and he said that when he'd started working there in the late 60s there were many such Germans from the original group still working there.

Uptown Gal, I clearly stated that ALL levels of education are important. And I admire people who have the determination to go through the rigor of getting a degree. The whole of my immediate family,save my mother and myself,have bachelors degrees and some have masters. Their work is important. So is mine. I was responding to a post on which not having a degree or making a ton of money was being equated to not having basic job skills or any pride in one's work. Perhaps you missed that one. And I was giving examples of personal experience in which people surely thought themselves better than I or others simply because they have a higher education. I say this because THEY SAID THIS. The girl that is in my department says ALL THE TIME that she is overqualified because of her degree. She also says that if our department were ever eliminated (where THAT came from I dont know) she thinks the company would find her another position within the company, because she has a a degree, but she doesn't know what the rest if us will do. Even the man who needed HELP was spouting about the "slow idiots who don't know how to make a tire." I wonder if he does.... The "no common sense " comment was referring to the man who could not or would not make the connection between an infestion of a rodent and removing it's natural predator. Not you or anyone else except the person I was talking about. I do not know you and so was not talking about you and I am not sure why you think I was. I gave 3 examples of 3 specific people. And I never claimed to be more intelligent than anyone. Not sure I am the one with an anger problem. Schoolhouse, it really doesn't matter if you believe me. That doesn't change the fact that i have to deal with this headache in a mail jeep. I wish it did. If you think I am a troll then refrain from engaging with me.

OK...I'm here! DH took time off from the office, and when he's home, I can't get anything done! Keeping up with the inside, the outside, and DH is a full time job. That along with occasional surprise visits from the Old Woman left no time for the computer!

DH finally went back to work yesterday, and I was able to play "catchup" with no interruptions...but still had no time for the computer.

Today, I was told there is mold in the crawl space under the family room/master bedroom addition. For joy! The previous owners did some stupid things when they built it which has lead to problems now. To make it worse, I think the Old Woman dragged some old ratty building materials in there and strung up cobwebs...lots and lots of cobwebs!!

And tell me...does that Old Woman have control of the weather? She must!! Just when the guy checking the crawl space left, my daughter and her kids left, and I was finally going to have time for lunch...at 2:30, the torrential rains started! Last week, they flooded the basement! I decided the heck with it...let it flood...and made myself a BBQ beef sandwich...and then the tornado sirens went off...so it was down to the basement to turn on lights and get ready to drag the cats down!

The storm passed without flooding the basement, but while I was down there...the Old Woman ate my sandwich!!

I showed her though...and ate the last two pieces of pie!! Don't mess with me when it comes to food, Old Woman!!

Oh my, Sandy. You've had a time between being so busy, weather, and the OW. You definitely deserved BOTH pieces of pie I think.

Oh, Sandy, sorry about all of your misfortune!! I feel so bad for ya that I am willin to take her off of your hands for awhile. I scratched my cornea this weekend and have been out of commission for a few days. Im back at work and have had my share of"arrrr, maties, and popeyes and Jack Sparrows, since I have a patch on my left eye. I feel like if I could put up with all of these men jokes at work,(they think they are soooo funny, dont they?)I know I could put up w/ the OW!!! Send her on and give yourself a break!! And thank you Susie for finding her! What a true friend!! We would have paid your ransom anyway! blessings-sherri (Kirk and Robert, that wasnt man-bashing, I promise, these guys at work are just clowns, if they didnt tease me unmercifully all of the time, I would think they didnt love me anymore!!!)
