Yellowing queens really perk up with palm fertilizer, which is available at Home Depot. Use as directed in spring, summer, and fall, skipping winter. You'll se big differences in about 9 months. We thought ours were getting really sick and they are really healthy right now. They just happen to be big feeders, probably because the native nutrients in our soil don't give them what they get in their wild habitat. Kentias may yellow from salts in your water, but with recent rains, that should be flushed out. I'd check with a local nursery on that one, because I've never grown them but a friend in San Diego does and had the same problem for a while -- but now they're doing great. I know feritlizer also played some part in it.

Personally, I doubt it is "heated, dry air" causing the problem since it is not yet the heating season. Sounds like it could be in shock, or perhaps an error in watering. Do NOT keep the palm constantly wet. I allow mine to dry completely before a thorough watering. NEVER allow your Kentia to sit fro a prolonged period in a saucer of water. Most palms can't stand "wet feet", although you might get away with wet feet for a Majesty Palm, but they are harder to keep happy than most Kentias. Do NOT repot now unless you have reason to think your palm is rootbound in its present pot. I just repotted mine because it was pushing up out of its pot.

Kentia is among one of the easier palms for the house. I would also suggest Rhapis (Lady palms), and various Chamaedorea species for those who struggle with palms. Of course, the most available species is one of the most notoriously difficult (Ravenea rivularis; Majesty Palm). Regarding your plant, there is no indication how long you have had the plant. It may just be acclimating to new conditions. It isn't sitting under an air-conditioning duct, is it? Also, how sure are we that it is a Kentia, I was inclined to thinking it might be a Dypsis lutescens (but not sure from here).

Sounds like it was killed from too much love. The Neem oil caused a bad reaction by these slow growing palms. Whats not dead might recover if you were able to get it to a greenhouse,but I get that its an office plant and chances are ...not good. When you are sure the fronds are dead,cut them off and do your best to keep it watered properly and with brightest light- but not direct window sun. Palms as indoor plants are a hard grow for most so don't feel bad.
