Pollinating will make absolutely no difference in whether or not you get fruit on a key lime. It won't really even make a difference in how many seeds you get. As to the two different type of blossoms you've got, they all just look like different stages of opening. Key limes will pretty much flower intermittently all year, and will hold fruit when they feel they're able. Like all citrus, they'll drop the vast majority of fruitlets formed. Just keep it healthy, make sure its roots are in good shape, give it plenty of sun, and good water and fertilizer, and you'll get fruit.

Thanks to all of your advice on this thread and past threads, we purchased the floor model G5775SCSFSS. It was selling for $1708, but because of the sale and a few scratches on the top control panel near the corner we snagged it for $1280. The scratches aren't visible when the door is shut. I'm not sure what full retail was originally, but it seems like a good deal. I would have even gone up in models if they had had one on clearance. Redoingit--I appreciate your experience. Sparkling--thank you for pulling up those specs. Covingtoncat--Mine is a Q4. I'm noise sensitive so I figured the quieter the better. Plus, the price was better on the Dimension Plus anyway even with the sale. Odd, huh? A2--I won't relate the fact that the noise started right after you visited.... ;) the racking system is the newest configuration, I think. Rococo--I appreciate you chiming in as I've read many of your posts with your experiences. Thanks to you, I know to ask to have the Miele hooked up to cold water. My concern about the handle protrusion was alleviated when I saw the store display. I think it will tuck mostly under the marble overhang. With the installation scheduled for Tuesday, I have a couple of remaining questions. I'd like to get the DW running ASAP as I'm sick of washing two DW loads per day by hand, and we're having a dinner party Thursday night. 1. Is the filler strip something that can be easily DIY'd by DH after install? Obviously it can't be here by Tuesday if I order it tomorrow. 2. I'm confused about the salt issue. Will the tech help me through this? Do I need salt if my water hardness is "slightly hard" at 55-60 mg/L? Is this regular salt or a special Miele salt? 3. Do I need any other special Miele products? 4. I've been using jet dry and Finish Powerball tabs in my old Kenmore. Are these OK to use? I have about a year's supply of each thanks to Costco coupons. I remember someone posting here a long time ago that granite dust ruined their drawer glides? That is my only concern when ours gets installed tomorrow. Of course, we have 26 yr old cabinets and I don't have any of the new fancy hardware, so we should be okay. My granite is coming with the undermount sink attached but the faucet will be drilled on site. I don't know how you can avoid at least SOME fabrication on site. I will also have an edge they wont even off until they are here because they preferred not to cut the side that will sit against my fridge end panel since it wasn't installed when they templated. I think they said someone vacuums while the other is grinding? Due to the layout of my cabinets and the risk of installing too large of a slab, I am ending up with two seams and it is making me nervous. If I had the opportunity to have the dust vs a 2nd seam, I would chose the dust, hands down.

My first Hobart-made KA lasted more than 30 years. In fact, it was still working when I replace it. I bought another KA 13 years ago. It has worked perfectly and I did not replace it when I redid my kitchen. I did discover that when phosphates were removed from dishwasher detg that one had to first, clean out all the gunk left by the dishwasher gel (there are products for this and it may take more than one time to get it all clean, depending on how often you've run your dishwasher). Then switch to Finish PowerTab. I do rinse my dishes before putting them in the DW but that's only because I live alone and only run mine once a week - food would be dried and smelly if I didn't. I understand that the newer "water conserving" dishwashers take forever to run just the way washing machines now do. Progress? I like KA as I find it very easy to load in an organized manner. Yes, I DO put all the dinner plates together, and the salad plates, and the cereal bowls! Anal? Probably, but it works for me - can't stand a jumble in the DW.
